Parking
We hope to have as many people out to the HarvestFest to make lasting memories as possible. The only limit we have is parking. With limited parking we do sometimes have to close our parking lot as there are no parking spots available. So, what can you do to try to avoid that, and what should you do if it happens? Sometimes on the weekends we get full on parking. This normally only happends on the busiest weekends which tend to be the middle weekends of the month of October. The busiest weekends this year will most likely be the 11th & 12th, and the 18th & 19th (but this can vary depending on weather). If you have a more open schedule and are able to come on another weekend or perhaps a weekday it will mean you are highly unlikely to run into any parking issues. If your schedule is tight and those are the only dates you can come we recommend trying to come in the morning. A lot of the times when the parking lot closes it is in the early afternoon around 1:00-3:00pm. Most importantly please carpool! If you are planning to attend with family, friends, or are meeting someone at the HarvestFest. Carpool together, it means all the more parking spots for other groups who are wanting to attend.
If you are coming to the HarvestFest and the parking lot is closed please respect that it is closed. We will have a sign up on the side of the road that should be visible from about 200 feet away. The parking lot will remain closed until enough parking spots are open to let everyone in freely. You might see a car exiting, but we do not do one car in one car out. We wait for enough people to leave so that we don't have to turn other vehicles away. When you see that sign please respect it. Last year we had many people who ignored our signs and our staff, not only causing confusion for others wanting to get in, but also driving recklessly and endangering our staff. There is absolutely NO PARKING allowed on Hazelgreen and Cordon road. There are signs from the county up on the side of the road that state that parking on those streets is not allowed, and you could get ticketed if you park on the side of the road. Please also do not park on neighbors properties. This also happened last year, and is unacceptable to the people who own and live at those properties.
We want everyone to have a good time when they are visiting, and we know that parking can be one of those things that puts you in a negative mood before you even enter into the HarvestFest. We want everyone to have a positive expereince when visiting the HarvestFest. These rules might seem like a lot, but they are time and true tested and work best for our business.
The parking lot is normally only closed for a half hour to an hour, and then opens back up. So, take a half hour to visit a nearby local business. Take a coffee break at Pioneer Coffee, Route 99 Coffee, or a nearby Dutch Bros. Visit Don Froylan Creamery and support the only creamery in the city of Salem. Stop by Flying Bee Ranch to get some locally sourced honey and honey products. The time will fly by while you visit a local business, and hopefully by the time you are done the parking lot will be open again. We thank you all for your patience and understanding as we work around having limited parking. Feel free to call the market to see if the parking lot is open again. 503-393-1506.
Field Trips
Field Trips are open for 2025. Please follow the link here to go to our fieldtrip page and learn more about what we offer and how to book your field trip!
Pets
Unfortunately, pets are not allowed (even on a leash) at our HarvestFest. This requirement from the USDA is because our facility is an actively-producing farm & classified as a food establishment. Only service animals will be allowed to enter our gates. See this flyer for information on what the Dept. of Justice & ADA qualifies as a service animal. (At this time, emotional support/therapy animals do not qualify).
Food
On weekends only we have hot food available for purchase on weekends during HarvestFest. We have a donut truck selling our freshly made apple cider donuts out in the HarvestFest area. Along with food from Adams Ribs, Sugar Pizza, and Cotton Candy. Outside food is not allowed in the HarvestFest on weekends. (Field trips that eat lunch at the HarvestFest on weekdays are allowed). Please call with any questions about food. 503-393-1506
